ACTUALLY

PhD Andrzej Fetliński, in the area of sector food and biotechnology, graduate MBA.
Founder and director of company Food Concept, which transfers knowledge and technologies to the food sector, very active in the framework programs of European Commission for research and development.
He worked 12 years as President of the Board of Directors in Biolacta-Texel, biotechnological company belonging to Rhone-Poulenc Group and Rhodia Food, one of the world leaders in the production of innovative food technological components. He held responsible positions in the Polish food industry.
Dr. Fetlinski is active university lecturer in economy and technology on the food sector and industrial biotechnology.
He has experience in governmental institution as Department Director of Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture in Warsaw, institution transferring EU financial means to the agriculture and food sector in Poland.
Polish representative expert in the International Dairy Federation IDF/FIL.
Co-author of 3 books and 120 publications and several patents in the field of food market and food safety and food technology and food economy.
Dr Fetlinski has long and significant experience in implementation of international EU Research and Innovation Frame Programs, and he is active expert evaluator of the European Commission projects in the Horizon 2020.

Professor Szczepan Figiel
Professor of economics at the College of Economic Sciences of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn (UWM). In 1990/91 he was a Leverhulme Trust research fellow at Reading University in England. In 1997 he was a visiting professor at the Department of Applied Economics of the University of Minnesota (USA). In recent years most of his research work is related to pricing efficiency of agro-food markets, competitiveness of the agro-food sectors in the context of the EU integration, and effectiveness of agricultural policies. He currently serves as Head of the Department of Market Analysis and Marketing and Director of the International Center for Business and Public Management at the UWM. Author and co-author of over 200 scientific publications including several books.

PhD Mariola Grzybowska-Brzezińska
University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn Deputy Dean; Faculty of Economics, Chief of Market Analysis and Marketing Department
Director of doctoral studies at the Faculty of Economic Sciences, In her scientific work deals with issues of consumer behavior and the various aspects of the functioning of the food market
She has held trainings and research stays in universities in Germany, Spain, Slovakia, Ukraine. She participated in a number of programs funded by the national and international role of lecturer, consultant and ESR’s tutor,
Numerous research works and publications in the field of consumer preferences for the features of food products,
In research she has a modern concept of the mixed methods, Triangulation and third methodological movement
The PhD student will be prepared to independently organize and carry out research in the area of commercialization of regional food products, which will potentially increase the employment opportunities in the Department.

PhD Zbigniew Nasalski
Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics of Business, Department of Economics, University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. Conducting classes: University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, School of Economics and Computer Science in Olsztyn, College of Agribusiness in Lomza, School of Information Technology and Management in Olsztyn. Lectures on following subjects (among others): economics and organization of enterprises, economic analysis of enterprises, financial management companies, economics of manufacturing processes, logistics of company, logistics of manufacturing, logistics of supply and services. Performer of two research projects funded by Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
Head of the research project „Regional Clusters in the food sector” (University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, 2008-2010). Head of the subject of the statutory „Integrating corporate food economy” (University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, 2006-2009).
Membership in organizations and associations: Polish Economic Society, Polish Society for Production Management, Association of Economists of Agriculture and Agribusinesscurrently serves as Head of the Department of Market Analysis and Marketing and Director of the International Center for Business and Public Management at the UWM. Author and co-author of over 200 scientific publications including several books.

Prof. dr. hab Ryszard Amarowicz
Position: Professor, Head of Department of Chemical and Physical Properties of Food – Institute of Anima Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Olsztyn; Editor-in-Chief of the Food Science and Technology; Section-Editor of the Polish Journal of Food and Nutrition Sciences, (Associate-Editor) of the European Journal of Lipid Science and Technology.Field of interest: Food analysis, protein hydrolysis, antioxidant activity of protein hydrolysates.

Dr. Halina Turlejska
From 1973, last 31 years in National Food and Nutrition Institute in Warsaw, Powsińska Street, 61/63, 02-903 Warsaw, Head of Quality Systems Department Leader auditor on ISO 9001, ISO 22000, teacher, consultant, author of publications and educational materials on food safety Key qualifications: – Food Quality Systems: GHP/GMP, HACCP, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, BRC, IFS – standards, traceability, prevention of foodborne diseases, food legislation, cooperation and surveillance on official food control. Above 100 publications on GHP/GMP and HACCP (28 manuals, handbooks and guides). Lot of lectures and papers on food safety every year. Participation in realization of 12 international scientific projects on food safety system and quality assurance of food (1995 – 2008) Study tours in Europe and USA.

Prof. Dr hab. Krystyna Gutkowska
Professor of economy science – specialization – consumer behaviour on the food market. Scientific achievements, participation in more than twenty scientific national projects focus on food consumption and consumer behavior, inter alia; Household responses to macroeconomic changes in Poland, founded by FAO (FAO-UN), Rural Households 7th FP: TRUEFOOD. Author of publications within the area of the above research topics of over 150 articles in Polish and foreign journals and 10 monographs focusing on household economy, consumption and consumer behaviour.

In the years from 1976 to 1994 researcher at universities and Polish Academy of Sciences. Lecturer at several universities in Western Europe, a board member of scientific societies. Since 1999, active in business: 1999-2000 Director of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce and Foreign Investors, and since 2000 Director / Secretary General of the Polish Trade and Distribution Organization. www.pohid.pl This organization brings together key distribution and sale food organisation in Poland; METRO GROUP, Auchan Poland, Carrefour Poland, E.Leclerc. Jeronimo Martins Distribution, Kaufland Poland Stores, Lidl Poland, Schiever Poland, Selgros Poland, Tesco Poland, Polish ZabkaAuthor and co-author of several books and hundreds of scholarly and journalistic articles also in the field of logistics and distribution logistics in the food sector. He speaks Polish, English, Russian, German.

Ms. Bronislaw Wesolowski
President of the Council of Food Sector at the Polish Ministry of Agriculture. This is a forum of professional organizations and it is the food sector consultative body – an advisory Minister of Agriculture, to facilitate contact and cooperation between the food sector and state administration. The Council is composed of representatives fifty-one food sector organizations, which brings together tens of thousands of Polish food SME. Hi is expert for law and regulatory of food including food labeling.
